Mooloolaba Tennis Club Inc
The Mooloolaba Tennis club dates back to 1947. Situated at 112 Lady Musgrave Drive Mt Creek, in a beautiful park like setting next door to Mountain Creek State High School, Mooloolaba Tennis Club has a proud history including winning the 2018 Club of the Year.
It is a Progressive Tennis Club offering 6 grass courts and 4 hard courts with lighting and Barbecue facility.
HISTORY
The Mooloolaba Tennis club dates back to 1947. At that time it was established adjacent to the River Esplanade where the Wharf complex and Underwater World are now located. Due to increased development the club relocated to its present location in 1990.
Mooloolaba Tennis Club was initiated in 1947 and was situated where The Wharf development is currently.
It was unique in some aspects of its management.
In the early days, members had to wait until the tide subsided before play could commence.
Mooloolaba also had an all-female committee from 1959 to 1962 with the committee members needing to water, roll, seep and mark the court twice weekly.
MOOLOOLABA TENNIS CLUB
The club caters for all grade of player and offers organised social play most days of the week or courts can be hired - day or night! It offers 6 grass courts and 4 hard courts with lighting, barbecue facility and new hitting wall. Professional Tennis Coaching is available for Junior and Senior players.
